This series was made during a photography project with unaccompanied minors at a Fedasil orientation centre in Brussels. The portraits, taken during a group outing, protect the identity of the young people while reflecting their presence through posture, light, and detail.

Inspired by one boy’s reaction, “Wow, is that me?”, the project explores how photography can offer more than documentation: a form of recognition and dignity amidst displacement.
